Two-time World Champion and four-time World medalist Adeline Gray joins the Short Time Wrestling Podcast for Episode 179 as we start catching up with our 2015 U.S. representatives for the upcoming World Championships.

Gray, a Denver native, doesn't want to be one of the guys. Well-spoken and an advocate for women's wrestling, she remembers a time when young women like her didn't have women's wrestling role models because the world of women's wrestling was still developing. Now wrestlers like Gray and Helen Maroulis, get approached at tournaments by young female wrestlers eager to meet their heroes.

Gray got into wrestling through her father George. With no boys to teach the armbar, George Gray showed his oldest of his four girls the move when she was six-years-old and she's still putting people away with it.

Gray talks on a number of topics, including battling through some international plagues, so to speak, en route to her second World title last year in Uzbekistan. What does she want to do following wrestling? How long will she wrestle and how important is it for the U.S. and women's wrestling as a whole when America's first Olympic women's wrestling champion is crowned? Find out on Short Time.

Follow Gray on Twitter @AdelineGray.

Episode 178 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast features U.S. men's freestyle World Team member James Green.

Before we get into our discussion with Green, we'll throw you a few reminders about some of the products and services being offered by the Mat Talk Podcast Network, including the Hall of Fame Legends crowdfunding campaign. You can help us produce digital content from our sports' greats by giving a small monthly donation or a one-time donation at HallofFameLegends.org. It helps fund the effort and all the content will be donated to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame for its digital outreach program.

It's also the 43rd anniversary of Title IX, the legislation that's helped thousands and thousands of women enjoy the benefits of sports at the college level (and other parts of life). Title IX is NOT a sports-only law. It has influence over game times, practice jerseys, gym facilities. Basically, it's gotta be fair and equitable. With Title IX's application to college athletics, the fairness is one-sided. While women have seen monumental growth in athletics, there is this blind eye to the fact the law has caused programs to be cut over the years on the men's side. To say Title IX has never impacted a men's cut is to lack common sense.

But look at the numbers for yourself, before we get to talking with Green, I'll break down some stats, which you can verify by clicking here.

Now, James Green. We have fun with Green and talk about his influences, how he started wrestling in New Jersey, comparisons (liked or unliked) to his Nebraska comrade Jordan Burroughs and a litany of other things.

He's a fun guy to talk with and he's up next on Short Time. Follow Green on Twitter @WhoisJamesG.

Reece Humphrey kind of always knew he'd be an Ohio State Buckeye, so when the decision came to choose a college after graduating from Lawrence North High School in 2005, he headed east to Columbus.

On Episode 177 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, we'll jump forward 10 years and talk to Humphrey, who will represent the United States at the 2015 United World Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas in September. This will be Humphrey's third opportunity to wrestle for gold at the World Championships.

Humphrey goes back to tell a unique story about how he got involved with wrestling and, believe it or not, it had NOTHING to do with his dad, who was a 1977 World silver medalist.

He'll also give his take on what it was like during the transition from Russ Hellickson's era to the new regime under Tom Ryan and the pride associated with winning a team title, even as an alum.

It's a discussion about history, overcoming a challenging weight cut and life as a husband and father. Follow Humphrey on Twitter @ReeceHump60kg.

Some news to report as USA Wrestling has announced Nick Marable, the U.S. Open champion at 70kg, will not be granted an injury extension following his failure to compete at the U.S. World Team Trials on June 13-14. Marable sustained a pre-tournament injury and requested an extension, but since that injury happened within the 18 hours prior to the event, he would have still needed to weigh in. That didn't happen.

This means U.S. World Team Trials champion, James Green, is the man at 70kg. That gives Team USA two former Huskers on the squad. Green was a four-time All-American and is going right from college into the senior level.

Some other nuggets of info include the USA Wrestling wrestlers of the year being announced. Andy Bisek and Adeline Gray were announced as winners, but if you were in Madison, you already knew that.

Speaking of being IN Madison, that's what sparked the conversation with Episode 176 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast. We're talking with Ben Askren, a Wisconsin native, 2008 Olympian, ONE FC champion and two-time NCAA champion. Askren is always pretty vocal when it comes to marketing and promotion and during the event, he and I exchanged some banter over the Twitterverse and ultimately came to an agreement to do the interview to talk about what was good and bad with marketing of wrestling, especially when events like the World Team Trials are involved.

We got some details on what the local organizing committee did and didn't do, as well as what USA Wrestling did. Ben also stepped up and did some social media push of his own. All in all, a pretty engaging conversation.

Joe Burns has a penchant for art.

The wrestling coach at Minneapolis' Southwest High School has been working in the industry for decades. But in the past several years, Burns has turned his attention from commercial art and design to oil painting.

Burns recently was featured by the Associated Press for his artwork that will be on display in Willison, N.D. on June 2 and in the Twin Cities in early July.

On Episode 171 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, Burns breaks down his history in wrestling and art and information about his depiction of the Bakken Oil Fields in North Dakota using oil painting as the medium.

Burns is a wrestling junkie and still has goals of painting J Robinson's trademark mustache.
