An enigmatic presence around the sport of wrestling, Iowa native
Jay Borschel recently left Division I coaching to start up a
wrestling club near his hometown of Marion, Iowa.
On Episode 166 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, Borschel will
talk about his journey through college coaching with the dynamic
between Drew Pariano and Matt Storniolo at Northwestern, being able
to head back to Iowa with a young family and of course, all the
quirks that make Jay Borschel who he is.
A highly-regarded four-time high school state champion in Iowa,
Borschel talks about why he went to Virginia Tech and what led him
back to Iowa, following coach Tom Brands when he came back to the
Iowa Hawkeye program.
It's pink llamas, freestyle myths and a wrestling lab on Short
Time.
