How does a wrestler go from seventh in the state to the NCAA
finals? On Episode 425 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, we'll
talk with Lock Haven's Ronnie Perry on how he did just that at 149
pounds at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.
Perry jumped several weights after graduating from Solanco High
School in Lancaster County, Pa. He started at 125 pounds as head
coach Scott Moore was just getting his feet wet as the Bald Eagles'
head coach. After five years and some quality wins and experiences
along the way, Perry capped his senior season with his only
All-American finish, just one off the top step of the podium.
We talk Pennsylvania depth, development and life in and around Lock
Haven.
